Whenever we are able to replicate the bug, and we are sure it is worth of fixing...
The Cartagena weather station 08434 should be in this town on the east coast of Spain.
But Windy shows it at sea, 95 NM more East. The reason is a wrong longitude in the database:
Instead of E 0°59’12 ‘’ the correct longitude is W 0°59’12’’.
BTW Great Dun Fell weather station is still in the wrong location
@theradarguy Thank you, after clicking that arrow by the location flag that bottom bar popped up. That's what I was looking for.
When I first used this site over a year ago, that bottom bar was up by default.
Seems like that bottom bar should load automatically and users can click the X to remove it or change it in settings
The problem happens if I point in a location "near" the edge of the screen
The diagram pops-up normally (down there)
but if I drag it in the center, I observe the problem.
Hope you can imitate it.
There is no need to zoom to a level lesser than the model's resolution.
e.g. ECMWF has a resolution of 9 km.
Do not expect reliable changes in locations less than 9 km apart.
Only interpolated values.
Maybe I found the issue. Since I live in China, computer wihtout VPN connection can't get sync. In fact my home pc and my mobile can see same favourite places if I activate the VPN. Instead my pc at office can't because we have a "company VPN"
The wind direction on your phone App should not be different from the wind shown your laptop if both are set on the same weather model, ECMWF or GFS.
If they are similar but different from the wind direction that you observe locally, it means that the prediction of the model is wrong.
Pls could you show a screen shot of your phone app ?
That explains it.
I guess it is not very intuitive to show the model forecasted temperature in a widget as the typical weather widget provides the current location temperature along with a multi-day forecast. Thank you again.
