Whenever we are able to replicate the bug, and we are sure it is worth of fixing...
The Cartagena weather station 08434 should be in this town on the east coast of Spain.
But Windy shows it at sea, 95 NM more East. The reason is a wrong longitude in the database:
Instead of E 0°59’12 ‘’ the correct longitude is W 0°59’12’’.
BTW Great Dun Fell weather station is still in the wrong location
Thanks for looking into it. I appreciate seeing the different wind patterns at different altitudes. We had a large tropical storm over our region in southern Maurtiania last night, while your app showed no rain. This morning we had clear skies and your forecast told me it was raining hard. I don't know anything about the science of weather prediction, but I appreciate your efforts :)
There is NO Pro version on Windy.com app.
You bought it from an other app with a similar name and with a blue logo. This app has nothing to do with windy.com which shows this logo:
Here you are on windy.com forum.
@idefix37 said in 1 Particular Feature — Modify Colour:
If you use the iOS app with iPad, in Settings you see « Customize color scale » but this feature is blocked.
In fact if you want to modify colors of the iOS app, you must do it on desktop via the website.
Or .... you can do it directly on iPad but you need to use the mobile website windy.com, not the iOS app.
I just tapped on your Windy.com link and it brought me to a new map. Now I’m REALLY confused. Is this what I used before without knowing it? I’m getting a migraine headache 🤕
Windy does not make weather forecasts, but just visualize weather models from the ECMWF, NOAA....
If you observe and report a wrong rain prediction in your location, there is no way to take it into account!
This not a bug as you think. Weather models are not 100% accurate and you must consider that a forecast of rain is giving a probability of precipitation and not a certainty, particularly when they are convective rains (thunderstorms...)
So please don’t report the observed differences with forecasts and try to find which is the best model for your location.
Here are some information:
But there is no « user guide » on Windy.

So, according to Windy there’s lightning over Perranporth. I am in Perran and there’s no lightning. Again I’m annoyed at this.
As @Gkikas-LGPZ mentioned, Windy does not create any forecast data but instead only visualises forecast and actual data received from various third party providers.
As explained by @Gkikas-LGPZ, there are areas showing rain and the color scale gives the amount of precipitation in these areas. To know the cloud cover in % you must use the weather picker.
But if you want to get the cloud cover scale, see Menu > Settings > Customize layers colors > Select overlay > Clouds
Note there is a mistake in this scale: you should read % instead of mm.
Personally I have modified this color scale to avoid the dark grey used for 30% cover and with more details.
If you want to use this setting, just let me know.
