first we see the date 2016-09-08- (8-September-2016)
then we have the hour 21- (9 PM)
after that we see the latitude and longitude of the zone of the world which we are looking at 42.472,6.680, (centered on Spain and France)
and last but not least, the zoom level 5 (Being 0 the less zoom and 17 the most zoom)

Arrow is the latest wind MEASUREMENT of the station at the given location.
Moving particles visualize wind field FORECAST from selected computer model for selected time. Wind strength at any location can be observed by clicking on map or by comparing map color to legend.
@htisaksen Metars are processed and displayed separately.
When you click on the airport, you can check METAR information.
If you know ICAO code of the airport, type it into search box and you will get the same result.

When I wrote that I checked chrome settings, I meant I tried to solve disconnecting from the Google Account and tinkering with the "People" section of the settings.

Where is the urban layer coming from, it's pretty neat.
when you go back in time you're viewing old forecast or real data mesaured by the stations?
