A drought monitoring color scale is used to show how severe drought conditions are in a region. Light colors (yellow) indicate abnormally dry conditions, while darker shades (orange to red) show moderate to extreme drought. The darkest colors (dark red or purple) represent exceptional drought, meaning severe water shortages and major impacts on agriculture and ecosystems.

Thread update There have been important changes since this discussion started. The original API this thread was about is now deprecated and no longer supported. Please make sure to read the opening post, which has been updated with the current status and next steps. We now strongly recommend using API v2, which is the only actively maintained and supported version going forward. The full and up-to-date documentation for API v2 is available here: https://stations.windy.com/api-reference Because this thread originally served the legacy API and to avoid further confusion, it is now locked. For all new implementations and questions, please refer to the new API documentation and start a new topic if needed. Thanks to everyone who contributed here, and thanks for your understanding.

Hi, we're very sorry about the delay. For safety and tagging reasons, we need to manually review every new webcam. Unfortunately, there was a bit of a surge of new webcams recently. We have strenghtened the team that handles webcam approvals, but they still have a few thousand webcams to go through, so it might take a few weeks until your webcam is reviewed.

@Alvin-Cabrera Hello, can you please provide more information about the charge? We use more services for the subscription management and I need to know which one you used.

I have a similar recurring problem where, upon opening the Windy Apple Watch App from a complication it shows a 3-hour step forecast. I have the setting for 1-hour steps enabled. If I go to settings, it confirms this. Then going back to the forecast it appears to reload with 1-hour steps. One difference to the above reports however is I don't need to change any of the settings. It seems that opening the settings screen is enough to correct the problem. I've uploaded a screen recording of the behaviour on my device: https://d.pr/v/USsdYc This doesn't happen every time I open the app and I haven't identified a particular pattern besides it occurs often enough to be irritating. When it does happen, the "Account" section of the Settings is temporarily unset which sounds like the watch app could be losing logged in state temporarily? Is this still something the developers are aware of? Or has anyone found a permanent fix?

The Garmin Edge series bike computers also support widgets, so I’d like to suggest extending Windy support to these devices as well. Having access to recent weather forecasts and even the rain radar during a ride would be incredibly helpful for cyclists, especially on longer routes. I often follow weather-dependent cycling and outdoor tools (I also collect related resources at gamehub.onl, and Windy on Garmin Edge would be a fantastic addition to that ecosystem. Thanks for considering this feature it would be awesome to see it in the future!

They should be visible as white points on a map, from zoom 5 and higher

@ivo Thanks for your swift reply. I know how go to settings, click "show historical data", choose the date in the calendar and then close it, then mark a coordinate of interest to show wind data on it, after I click the "play" video button and watch the animation, as the red time line bar shows progress through the days ahead. MY QUESTION really is HOW can I turn this animation (including the point of interest marker, if possible) into a video link that I can post in my facebook so that my friends can click "Play" and reproduce and see the same animation I saw on my own Windyty screen, in a similar manner to those videos or movies that you show on your own Windyty facebook. I am trying to help with a search and rescue operation for a missing sailboat that was caught in a storm and probable remained dismasted and adrift. Such a viedo/movie may help estimate the subsequent drift pattern od the drifting sailboat.

One good use for that would be a temperature outlook, because now I could use the arrow keys to view temperature on different days but on the same selected time. Whereas currently it's more useful if you want to see temperature in upcoming hours, not days. That's because it's hard to see the big picture because of temperature varying too much..

Wouldn't it be great if sailors could use the same thing with lat/lon positions? This would make a great route planner.

I see. On a similar issue: it doesn't push state to URL of which one is selected.
