I have a lot more confidence in the lowlevel trajectories with 0.4.5:
very good fit with particle animation now!
It would be great to use the url query str to load and mount a plugin. Also provide parameters that one can read from within the plugin.
Something like: www.windy.com/plugins/traj/?parameter1=x&......
@mhaberler tells me the traj plugin appears to be gaining popularity among non-geek balloonists.
A fire map is planned for a next future:
Meanwhile you can visit this website which gives a global view of fires in the world:
I have made the start speed 0 and the initial increments 0.5. (firstname.lastname@example.org)
I have also considered this, however, calculating true speed from windspeed and direction in a sailboat is daunting. Hull speed plays a role and each model seems to have a different polar diagram. There is no easily applicable formula. Perhaps you can advise??
That's probably something we can try.
The thing is that different model report different things.
I think that EC has all of model elevation, actual elevation and sfc temp while GFS only has actual? elevation.
I have chosen to use the model elevation when available because what's below probably do not make a lot of sense ?
Hi Peter. I am working on a flight planner, that you might find useful. The plugin calculates ground speed, from your IAS and Wind speed at your chosen alt, and determines the corrected ETE.
Can I ask: What is your airspeed ? (74kph). What are your waypoints?
Hi. tested it now and works.
Wait for plugin to load, then close left pane.
Right click screen (or longpress) for context menu.
In left pane a list of airspaces should appear.
Click to show country airspace.
You can open a number of countries, but too many will slow down plugin.
