Yes exactly. I have modified the wind layer colors for a more intuitive perception. The steps of this color scale are based on the Beaufort scale that mariners know. But every one can understand it easily.
If you like these colors, here is the way to use these settings:
@ idefix37, thank you for the guide how to apply the colors. It's very easy to remember everything and get used to the new scheme. Besides, red and orange have been always the markers of danger, so it's being perceived intuitively indeed.
@ TZ said in Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS) data and forecast are now accessible on Windy.:
@ ivo We display total column of ozone, for monitoring of ozone holes = "the area where ozone columns are less than 220 Dobson Units (DU)". Antarctic ozone hole is seasonal. According to Copernicus, 2018's ozone hole "was one of the largest holes of recent years". It's obviously one of the most alarming statements I have ever read. I check the ozone forecast charts predictions daily. Here's the reference to the ozone layer monitoring and the graphics updated on a daily basis: https://atmosphere.copernicus.eu/monitoring-ozone-layer
I think its too early to be sure. Forecasts are changing day by day.
ECMWF and GFS are not in agreement for the situation (Sat. 26 Oct / 12 Z)
