new Sydney airport - needs BoM station & METAR added

Hello Windy,

Sydney is getting a second major airport - Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport (WSI / YSWS) - which opens in late July.

Not sure of the data flows into Windy - but how do we get the new airport weather station (BoM station ID 067121 - https://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDN60801/IDN60801.94149.shtml) & METAR (https://www.bom.gov.au/aviation/observations/metar-speci/) into Windy?

I just noticed that Sattahip (which I thought was gone long time ago) appears to be back online https://file.royalrain.go.th/opendata/radar_data/cappi/?station=sattahip But I also notice that the website royalrain.go.th asnwers sometiems extremely slowly and sometimes not at all. Maybe a related problemm...

Connection station problem - password too long

I would like to connect a station to the Windy website, but the password I was given is too long and my application does not support such a long password. Would it be possible to be given a shorter password?

Naming discrepancy for my station on map

My station name is "BIP - High Kite" but the map is showing it as "Mystery Hill, Atkinson". My Windy station ID is xhUWxQ0C. Can you correct it from "Mystery Hill, Atkinson". to "BIP - High Kite"? Thank you!

Ecowitt HP2561 can't handle 64-character PWs, can a 32 character password be generated?

Disregard my previous answer, it looks like I was just too jumpy, it's the API key and not Station key that worked.

@ScotchNSoda1 Yes, it should operate until the end of 2026. And I can confirm that many stations still use this endpoint for posting data. If I understand correctly, you use a third-party solution, and this can cause incompatibility.

To get solar radiation data displayed in Windy, is it better to send the information through NOAA's MADIS project rather than using Windy's PWS API?

Location of our PWS on Windy map is not following our boat.

We solved the problem our selves. We discovered the existence of a new SignalK plugin, named "signalk-wind-apiv2". This plugin works fine now at our station.
