Madis weather stations are personal weather stations, and there are several showing wrong indication for wind. The location / installation of this weather station is probably bad, or any other problem.
The wmo weather station in New Plymouth and that of the Wellington airport give more consistent wind direction with forecast. But they are official and professional stations.

Unfortunately there is no way to delete the blue dot which is shown in Radar map even if you turn off the location feature of your device and you set the start up location by one of your favorites
