Have a question or a suggestion regarding Windy Maps? This is the right place for them.
A priori Windy map doesn't display current map scale and LoLa cursor position, excepting if I would missed some conf stuff.
Exporting current map in image format on client side would be yet other useful control to implement (see this post).
These are highly useful controls; e.g. a map without scale is like a color shading weather map without palette legend (thus useless).
Such controls are generally provided by map rendering frameworks, including Leaflet (e.g. here or here for scale).
Does Windy plan to implement this kind of controls in future releases?
Otherwise, I would say it should be highly desirable and useful to implement these controls in such an exclusively map-based web application.
Come on ! Windy.com does NOT make any forecast of SO2, or of any other parameters.
They are sourced from weather models and satellite observations. In the case of sulfur dioxide the data are provided by the NASA.
https://earth.nullschool.net/ shows similar SO2 map as they use the same data from NASA GEOS-5
May be the these data from GEOS-5 are overestimated?
according to the forecast, a thunder should hit Buenos Aires between 18:00:00Z to 21:00:00Z.
It is necessary to take into account a small errors, which may occur, when it come to forecast.
