No you don’t need to upgrade on your iPad. Your subscription covers all your devices. You just need to log in on your iPad with the same account credentials as on your iPhone.

The only past data is the Satellite archive (only accessible by Premium users) and few last days in Reported wind or Reported temperature at weather stations.

You probably refer to an other app, with the same name and a blue logo. This app has nothing to do with Windy.com app with a red logo and a Premium service.
@mackbruce Hi, can you share any screenshot to see where exactly you see the issue? @idefix37 is correct, and since you are Premium user, you only need to login with same credentials on your iPad as well. Also, iPad, as any other devices, offers standard login plus Apple, Google and FB access.

One-year is a one-time payment for users who do not want to enter a subscription mode that renews yearly.
@bstich Do I understand it correctly that you purchased Premium twice? I found purchase via Fastspring from January, but I cannot find anything else, can you please provide further info about the second purchase?
