Hi @Pasha060, what do you mean? If your location, go to Menu – Settings and change your Start-up location to your IP address or location of your choice. You can also go to your phone's settings and forbid application to use your location.
When I look at my favorites cities I see that they are all displayed with my home time and not the local time of that city. One of my favorites is in new zealand so I expect that the timeline should display different times there
I believe that there is an issue here with the rain forecast. Data showed by 3h are different than the forecast by 1h.
Look here :
Total rain forecast for Saturday (today) foreseen by IFS (3h fcst) is 0.5 + 0.2=0.7mm
Now, look here when I check the forecast by 1h :
Here for the same period, Saturday afternoon, total is different and is 0.3mm only
Where the difference comes from ?
Yes, temperature is the default parameter shown under towns labels even when you select any other layer than temperature (Wind, Rain, Clouds...). To see the same parameter as the selected layer, you must tick Forecasted weather.
You cannot add wind values to the wind vectors, but it is possible to customize the wind layer colors.
The solution is to choose a different color for each 5 mph range for instance. This is what has been done with the colors matching the Beaufort scale for the wind here:
Note that colors are not smoothed, not blended, and knowing your color choices you can identify the wind speed ranges e.g. the areas with a ...10-15 mph, 15-20 mph, 20-25 mph...wind, each range corresponding to a colour.
Thanks for the suggestions ; I dit try the route planner and it looks interesting.
I do check also weatheronline for the purpose I'm asking. I was wondering if Windy could offer such a similar layer. Again, it seems to me that would be a very valuable feature for flight planning.
SO2 data supplied by Copernicus are NOW corresponding to a column of this gas from ground to top of atmosphere and accordingly mg/m2 is the correct unit.
Please, the description of SO2 layer in the FAQ should be changed :
@idefix37 THANK YOU!!!!! I couldn't find that for the life of me. That really makes the experience better for me.
I'm in rural mexico and there isn't much information on breaks around here. Having swell angles allows me to gather more data about what angles work at each spot.
Not agree. Isolines of pressure are upper layer. If you see equal
colors- change color of isolines.
As example, look at
application ArcMap by ESRI, where you CAN
manipulate colors of layer.
Why not do that feature in Windy?
