Everyone looking for gribs in Windy already has a special app or soft for reading it, like for instance Open CPN , this is the goal I think... you're viewing the forecast on Windy, then you want to download the grib files for offline use in your plotter or software, and you could do it directly on Windy.... This is what every sailor user wants to do.![text alternatif](![url de l'image](url de l'image))
@idefix37
Thank you.
I’ve been watching that too. I think it was posted while I was writing my report of the same issue.

hi
I'm an Egyptian and subscribed with Windy for a long time
when i try to renew my subscription the credit card failed due to Egyptian bank issue
I'm at sea now and cannot use my credit card while abroad
the question is; can i use different credit card in different country to renew my subscription
@idefix37 good point, ecmwf in windy is same resolution as arpegè, however I find arpegè (and derived models like aladin) better for sail navigation. Windy's great UX would be great with arpegè
@idefix37 It is the same in Slovenian: mrtvo morje
@Ondřej-Šutera That is very unfortunate, as Arpège Europe model is one of the best models for Mediterranean Sea, particularly as it has 0.1 grid.
My favourite weather routing app (SailGrib WR) supports both ECMWF 0.4 and Arpège Europe 0.1 and the difference in routing is shown here - this is for our regatta tommorrow:
ECMWF: https://photos.app.goo.gl/j3Cj7BLeXHbs9rZQ7
Arpège: https://photos.app.goo.gl/iR5WRXViQyHfGxR4A
The difference in grid can be seen with the density of wind barbs.
It is really unfortunate that this great model that is public does not get supported in best weather app - Windy.
BTW: we use Windy route planner to check forecast a week before regatta to plan the best route: https://pbj.pojalabanda.com/jadranje/2023/vreme/
@Ftjwinfs I would also like to understand why this very useful use case (inspecting various locations on map) is not supported anymore.
I am also a sailor and have exactly the same needs: explore options on a map to find better route or anchorage for the night.
The new "Move the map to change the forecast location" is not a replacement for the old feature that we all loved.
