@Suty Hi, mostly checking on my iphone or ipad. When doing more in depth planning for the voyage then will go to my laptop or desktop. Wind is the biggest interest and sea water temperature only during the cyclone season.

Hi Windy Team,

Using "Windy" regularly on my iphone, ipad, laptop and desktop.
Almost every time I have to recover settings and to activate lat/long grid and pressure isobars on the screen.
Am I doing something wrong?

Prefer to have same settings every time log in.

Votre idée est très intéressante... On pourrait presque imaginer une carte dans laquelle on spécifie le temps de mouillage (de quelques heures à une dizaine de jours - à caller avec la version premium ou pas ?), avec des couleurs qui indiqueraient si le mouillage est sécurisé ou non.

Il faudrait prévoir une entrée des conditions "maximales" de mouillage sécurisées : un petit voilier n’ayant pas les mêmes attentes qu’un porte-conteneur.

Je vois comme paramètres : vagues, houle, vent, courant... mais peut-être qu’il m’en manque.

Voir même ajouter un "anchor watch" si la position du bateau se déplace...

Peut-être que ça peut se faire dans un plugin... qu’en dites-vous ?

I am currently working on an Android application that will act as the small server receiving TCP NMEA data. On some boats—especially smaller sailboats—the NMEA stream is sent over TCP through a Wi-Fi router to a tablet or a smartphone. This will allow those boats to use my plugin as well.

Since the plugin is primarily designed to run on computers, it will be published in the coming days without this functionality. The small APK will be added later, and no modification of the plugin will be required because it has already been designed to support it.

However, since I don’t know anyone who has a direct serial (COM) connection between a phone and an NMEA emitter, the “COM” section stays visible in the plugin, but I have not been able to test whether it is actually possible that it could works.

I am currently working on the new version of the “GPS from COM” and “GPS from TCP” plugins.
It will probably be officially published in a few days, but you can already test it by installing it directly from the following URL via “Install plugin directly from URL”:

This new version allows you to display the AIS targets from your onboard NMEA network (i.e. targets received by your vessel’s AIS receiver, not MarineTraffic) directly on the weather map.

Several additional features are also available and can be enabled or disabled as required (https://yannkerherve.github.io/position-plugin/).

You can safely remove both "GPS from COM" and “GNSS from TCP”, as they have been completely rebuilt in this new version.

I have been using the Windy.com application for a long time, but for the last year the application has not been opening on my phone.
I've tried many methods but couldn't get it to work. Any ideas that might help?

Dear developers,
Good day!

I have developed a plugin which, with the help of a small NMEA Bridge server, add the ability to see the present position of your ship and see others if AIS is connected. A projection of the ship according the prevision slide bar, the course and the speed to have the weather in the future estimated position.

It is actually private plugin for test purpose.

I have now an issue when trying to publish a new version: The windy server return an error 500, and a server-side validation error preventing any update.

I found link in Windy app on Android and it seems Quatix 5 watch is not supported?
What is the reason, this watch is not supported?
It is very unfortunate as many sailors use Quatix watches and would appreciate windy weather info on their watch.
