Wetter in Deutschland

Freue mich auf deutsche User, die auch am Wetter interessiert sind und aus eigenem Ort berichten, wie es gerade so bei euch ist.

  • RE: Wind Accumilation Bug

    @idefix37 That's correct, it happened about 12 hours after it was reported.

    @KrisLoves-Cats I can also confirm this problem, something isn't quite right.

  • RE: Next-Gen Feature Request: Volumetric 3D Weather Radar is now possible in Mobile Browsers! (See Meteopool Beta)

    @HardikP As a developer, you surely know that software features can be scaled. Nobody is asking to force 3D rendering on a budget phone. A simple hardware detection or an optional 3D switch completely resolves the performance issue. Budget devices stay on 2D, and users with capable hardware get next-gen tech. It’s entirely a matter of choice, not a hardware limitation.

  • RE: Ecowitt and Windy

    Es gibt ein neues Script für Ecowitt Stationsbetreiber, die nur einen freien Port haben, dennoch aber ihre Daten auf ihrem Webspace sichern und auch gleichzeitig an andere Wetterdienste weiter leiten möchten, ohne die typischen Portsperren der Webhostingbetreiber und das mühsame einrichten von Cronjobs und ohne den einzigen freien Datenport blockieren zu müssen. Das entfällt komplett, da Euer heimisches IOT diese Aufgabe nun anstößt, während das Script die Daten empfängt und auch weiter verteilt.

    Dabei wird in diesem Script streng darauf geachtet, die API-Anfrage so zu gestalten, das nicht jede Datenfütterung im Minutentakt zur jeweiligen API durchgelassen wird. Sondern der entsprechenden Vorgabe genüge getan wird.

    Dieses Script empfängt die Wetterdaten im folgenden Format:

    archiv/live.csv -> Livedatei

    archiv/YYYY-MM/YYYY-MM-DD.csv -> Tagesdatei

    archiv/YYYY-MM/YYYY-MM.csv -> Monatsdatei

    archiv/YYYY/YYYY.csv -> Jahresdatei

    Folgende Wetterdienste können mit diesem Script bedient werden:

    WOW Metoffice UK

    WOW Meteo BE

    WeatherUnderground

    CWOP/NOAA

    Wetternetzwerk.pro

    Meteo-Services

    Windy

    PWSWeather

    Alle oder auch einzelne Weiterleitungen können ein- oder auch abgeschaltet werden!

  • PHP-Script to Send Weather Data from Ecowitt to Windy

    You can follow the ongoing development of this script on GitHub, as a receiving script will be built in the future that will also serve as a hub for forwarding data to other weather services—a feature that will be toggleable on and off.

  • RE: Version 43: Introducing the New Features and Enhancements. Tell us what you think!

    @sasipm I don't think it is a very good or at least trivial idea to built a forecast on a mix of all models. Some are very good for short term, others for long term prediction, some are more precise and so on.

    A simple mix of all of them would be a lie as it would just predict: "the weather will change somehow"

    Of course it might be possible to do it right, but that is a really complex task:

    • define the weight of each model on a time line
    • only mix those that are regionally available
    • add long historical data sets of similar situations
    • post processing to remove forecast errors
    • extract parameters that only exist in some models (e.g. thunderstorms)
    • .... (many more I guess) ....

    The german DWD is calculating what they call ModelMIX / MOSMIX and they use it e.g. for their weather warnings. The result -imho - is a lot of warnings that are not really relevant or being a lot less strong as predicted.

    In my opinion the preselected ECMWF is a very good model for the average user.

    I take a look at the Compare View of the models to check the reliability of the forecasts: If all models predict similar weather, than it seems to be a stable situation and you can count on that even for a few more days. On the other hand, if all models are drifting apart in the near future, it seems to be clear that we have a difficult situation and we have to be careful to rely on any prediction.

    Open the menu (red button), scroll all the way down to the bottom, there you find the installed version.
