Temperature for San Antonio

Why is it, when I view the map, the temperature comes in several degrees higher than the forecast for the same time? 2-3 hours out, the map shows mid to upper 90's and the forecast doesn't get out of the 80's...which we know, in South Texas, in July, the temperature is not in the 80's at 2:00 - 3:00 in the afternoon. The map seems closer to the real temps, the forecast not so much...why is this? Should not the forecast be very close to the actual temperature in real time?

@Coach09 Hello, what do you mean please? The final forecast result depends on the chosen model, I would suggest you to compare several models together to see which one suits your location the most. The map and forecast shows the same temperature and it is a prediction. If you would like to see real-time data, you can view weather station overlay.

Your post is not clear. To check whether the forecast matches or not the observations, select Reported temperature in bottom right corner to show weather stations near your location. For instance the weather station on this Air Force base in San Antonio does not show large discrepancies with temperature forecast :
