@idefix37
I know Windy.com works fine with windows 10 but is not suitable for windows 7 which is installed on my computer.
Or Chrome and Opera web browsers ....What I see on my smartphone (without having installed the app yet) is similar to what I see on my computer screen.
Thank you all for your help.
Good night -
@a-t59 Hello, as mentioned above, we need to see a screenshot of your problem. So far, you did not clarify if Windy does not work at all or the problem is with the mobile interface.
-
@korina
Hello,
I have already sent you the screenshot.
She appears above in the forum.
I indicated from the start that the caption was not showing on my computer screen.
I then did several searches to determine where the problem was.
(The mobile interface doesn't matter to me.
On the assumption that I do not have a mobile phone, I could not have informed you).
Following the tests that I have been able to carry out, your site works very well on Windows 10 whatever the OPERA or CHROME web browsers or on Apple whatever the SAFARI or CHROME web browsers.
(My OPERA web browser is updated regularly).
I know, for now, that the problem concerns my PC computer running on Windows seven (basic).
Now it remains to be seen if you can fix this problem:- By modifying your site so that it runs on a desktop PC computer running Windows 7 base ?!
- It would depend on the web browser. In this case, I would ask OPERA if it is possible for them to fix it.
- I would continue to consult Windy in part before I get Windows 10 ...
- Please know that I am very sorry that I cannot take full advantage of the Windy site.
I wish you a very nice day.

@a-t59 Hello, you do not see the "legend" because Windy recognises your screen as mobile. Therefore you have mobile interface and in mobile interface, there is no legend for Radar.
Does the mobile interface prevents you from using Windy or is there any other problem?
The reason why you see mobile interface on your PC is your screen size not Windows 7.
-
@a-t59 Please enclose another screenshot with "Wind" layer.
You mentioned Windy does not work well, we would need more details what is not working.
-
@korina
"The reason you see the mobile interface on your PC is your screen size and not Windows 7."
No, I do not think so.
As indicated previously, a test was carried out with the same version of Windows 7 as me on a screen close to 16/9. -
@korina
The problem has already been mentioned above. -
-
@korina
I have just transmitted the problem I am having to OPERA
I wish you a good day -
@a-t59 Hi, our developers also confirmed that this is not problem of Windows 7, but rather the display size.
Could you please clarify one more time what is exactly the issue?
-
@korina
Hello,
Here is what I have on the screen with basic windows 7 with a 4/3 screen
The legend does not appear. -
@korina
Hello,
Another person gets this screen with basic windows 7 with 16/9 screen
The legend does not appear.
(whether with the CHROME or OPERA browser) -
@korina
I have Windows 7 basic on my computer.
Updates are no longer done.
I don't want to upgrade to Windows 10 because my computer is working fine.
It is undoubtedly possible that users who have installed Windows 7 updates can see the legend of Windy.com at the bottom of the screen like those with Windows 10.
For me, it's not a display issue.
Representing a minority having a problem following an impossible update of Windows 7, I would understand very well that no one is interested in my case.
I would adapt to the situation.
Good night -
Hello,
For a user, "a display problem" means that it is his computer or / and his screen that are concerned.
For a developer, "a display problem" means that a site is not represented correctly on the user's screen.
In our case, I believe we could say that there is a display issue with Windows 7.
It is for this reason that I have notified the developers who are working on the OPERA browser.
I noticed that the Windy.com site was optimized with the CHROME browser (and other browsers but not OPERA).
I leave it to you to advise, if necessary, the developers of CHROME for this display problem with Windows 7.I wish you a good day

@a-t59 Hello, you cannot see the "legend", because Windy recognises your screen as mobile (due to its size) and displays mobile UI and in mobile UI, there is not legend for Radar.
The issue lies with your screen size.
Thank you.
-
@a-t59
Just to confirm, could you show a screenshot from another layer, Wind for instance, to see how the ‘legend’ is displayed.
Here is the screenshot from iPad with browser version. -
Good evening,
Here is a screenshot of my computer screen. -
Good evening,
Here is a screenshot showing the weather radar.
It is taken instantly just as the legend disappears from the screen.
This happens each time the page is displayed. (I took the screenshot when reloading the page to make my job easier). -
@a-t59
The Wind layer you show is typically the mobile version. You use an old OS and screen, but you can still use Windy with this version. So there is no issue which justify to carry further investigation. -
Fully agree !
thank you and good evening -
