Question about Point Forecast API
-
I want to know what range of weather I searched for with coordinates.
For example, if the wind direction retrieved by coordinates of latitude 10 and longitude 10 is north wind, you want to know to what radius the north wind is valid.

@hyungtack Hello, if you are referring to Point Forecast API? then by request you are getting forecast data just for the given coordinates.

@hyungtack
Afaik Wind direction in Point Forecast API is deducted from the wind direction field shown in Windy. Each point in the field is interpolated from the grid points of the weather model output. Same as other parameters, wind direction changes as you move the point even on a very small distance.
In Windy set the wind direction in degrees (N means a direction between 337.5° and 22.5°, so it is not precise) and change the position of the picker to see the wind direction changes. So you see there is no way to give a radius of unchanged direction. -
@korina
Thank you for your answer!
When using API, I know that it will give the answer to the requested coordinates.
If I want to know the overall wind direction for a particular area, I wonder how far it would be good to search for the coordinates.ex) This image is the data (general wind direction) I want to get from api.
I would like to use this data to know the expected direction of forest fires.
If it is difficult for you to answer correctly, could you recommend me how far I should search?

@hyungtack Hello, we do not display overal wind strength for a certain area, you need to put the exact location.
