Clouds layer rendering
-
Today ECMWF model seems to predict heavy clouds over Berlin according to what the Clouds layer shows.
No, it’s just a 33 % cloud cover. So you can expect sunny spells and a luminous sky.
So why these dark clouds? Do they correctly render the cloudiness?
I definitively prefer my Clouds colour settings which gives a better intuitive rendering. But it’s just my feeling.Would you like to get the same colour setting?

Hi @idefix37, thank you for sharing this with us. I have passed it to our developers to consider.

This is good idea. Anything below 50% should be rendered really almost invisibly

Here is the code in case you want to use it. I have extrapolated and simplified it from that of a former user. If you need to reduce again the number of lines, you can simplify it further.[[0,[208,156,104,0]],
[4,[208,156,104,256]],
[8,[208,156,104,256]],
[12,[208,156,104,256]],

IMO, yes if have to do with medium and high clouds.
But.... 20 to 49% of low clouds (st, sc) or even cu, must be shown.
