@mcgilbdd Windy, and its map provider, OpenStreetMap, and not US companies. They are not obligated in any way to use the name "Gulf of America". They follow internationally accepted naming schemes.

@Ludwighaffen The Meteoblue model cannot be used to generate the map because its data is not provided on a grid of points. Therefore, Meteoblue cannot possibly be the data source for the map; this is a labeling error. The map likely comes from the model listed at the top of the table: ECMWF. This need to be fixed.

@Muhammad23sw The above method suggested by Windy long time ago to mute Windy has worked recently for at least one unhappy headphone user, here : https://community.windy.com/post/233432 . Of course, it could be more ergonomic and explicit both for the browser version and for the application. Windy has some room for improvement in parameter management. In browser version, one could also right-click on the Windy tab and Mute it. In my Vivaldi browser the command is available in all platforms. Since Vivaldi is Chromium-based, like about every browser out there, I presume the mute command is widely available. The notifications and alerts are best managed at the OS/desktop level.

Freezing at zoomed in scale

I’m in hawaii and the map starts to glitch at small scale zooming. Just before the map changes to small scale it is missing a chunk of Oahu. Then it freezes and I have to restart the app. Been happening for a few weeks

@idefix37 @suty @surfandrew In addition to this, When I click any panel that changes the "Source" and then back to Basic - it will default the source to Meteoblue. example. clicking on Pollen & Air Quality changes source to "CAMS", when I click back to Basic, the source is now Meteoblue. @idefix37 said in Settings on location fcst - misbehaving on desktop: when clicking a place name I don’t see a similar behavior. The must have fixed it (which is fantastic, thank you), because I also don't currently see this behaviour. My guess is the background issue is the same though. My uneducated guess lol

Meteoblue AI - a (smart) merge of all models does not give the best results

@Voda-0 model (IOS App) still defaults to mblueAI on every restart of the App Not for me with iOS app. It has remained on the ECMWF model for several weeks. What detailed forecast table are you using? Basic, Meteogram, Wind, Compare…?
