There is no way to change the readings on the base map.

You talk about a time when forecasts were made by meteorologists from every official weather station.
This is very different nowadays, as on Windy, it is global or regional weather models that provide the forecast and the predictions are not linked to a specific weather station.

@martymack Hi, you can set elevation in the app too, there is elevation bar in the side menu.

Remember that global models have a resolution between 9km and 22km ! So it’s impossible to display such a picture by weather models. What they show here is like a video game at very high resolution. For the weather forecast, maybe in 20 or 30 years....
