Typhoon Lekima made a landfall in Zheijang province, China as a high-end Category 2 storm last week (you can read our coverage here, accompanied by satellite imagery).

IFRC Asia Pacific reported that Lekima has affected more than 4 million people & displaced 1 million in Zhejiang, Shanghai & Jiangsu provinces.

Lekima brought all the three main fatal consequences of typhoons to China:

1. High-speed winds
2. Wind-blown debris
3. Flooding and landslides

The citizens experienced winds so strong, you could even be a witness of an octopus falling from the sky.

Chinese TV network CGTN shared a video of Zhang Yijun, a deliveryman, cleaning clogged drains on several flooded streets — he was cleaning the drains barehanded. Zhang said he was doing what he could to help people to get over the disaster.
