Feature Request - Historical Averages

Would love to be able to see historical averages. Lots of devils in these details, but it would be great to get an idea of the historical Wind Speed, Wind Direction, Temps, Humidity, Waves/Swell Height, Waves/Swell Direction, ect... for geographic areas.
Time frame (average for how many months) could be defaulted to a set time, perhaps a month, or if possible would be user defined.
Geographic areas might be hard to accommodate as user defined, but I'd be OK if areas were app defined.

Feature request: Mountain weather

Hi, I love this app for wind! A lot of my friends also use this app to understand the weather in the mountains for snow sports. For this use case I think the app could be improved. Can you add a mountain weather view, alongside "Basic", "Wind", "Wave & Tide". Since the weather varies so much with the elevation, the Basic forecast isn't very useful in the mountains.

The mountain weather view should show precipitation as "water equivalent" in cm/in, rather than inches/cm of snow, and then also show the snow level (the elevation at which precipitation falls as snow rather than rain), which you should be able to show in either feet or meters. I think it would be nice to show snow level as a plot with elevation on the Y axis, alongside a meteogram and/or cloud base elevation.

This would be so useful for those of us who do mountain sports. Thanks again for maintaining and building this app!

These are all examples of the information we're looking for - the common denominators are water equivalent and snow level. Out of these I consider NWAC the gold standard for mountain forecasts, which shows pretty much the exact summary data I want to see in a particular mountain range or region.

Smoke layers using NOAA RAP-Smoke and HRRR-Smoke models

@idefix37 I'm not familiar enough with all of the various weather models and their different layers and predictions. I know that Windy has a worldwide PM2.5 layer from ECMWF that doesn't allow any forecast selection (but presumably could, to specify smoke plumes?). There are a variety of English language regional and national smoke forecast models I do know about: the two in the title from NOAA, Canada has one called Blue Sky [that also covers the US], Australia has a smoke module in its AQFx model. Given the current layout of Windy and the presence / availability of models that cover limited time and geographic areas I'm confused by your implication that something has to cover everywhere for consideration for inclusion.

Yes please! The weather in my area is greatly effected by local terrain, and you need to zoom quite close to be able to gain meaningful info. Being able to save a zoom level to your start-up location would be quite beneficial!

Yes! Alerts are awesome. I would love to set alerts with Gusts as an upper bound. ECMWF models seems to consistently underestimate avg winds in the American deserts in nearly every location I fly.
