<p dir="auto">The maximum sustainable winds are 210 km/h at the moment, but the storm is expected to weaken to Category 3 hurricane upon landfall.</p>

<p dir="auto">Former tropical storm <strong>Blas</strong>, the second named storm of the eastern Pacific season, has strengthened into hurricane on Thursday off the southern Mexico, though it is not expected to pose any threat to land.</p>
<p dir="auto">Hurricane <strong>Category 1</strong> currently has maximum sustainable winds of 86 mph (136 km/h), heading to the <strong>west-northwest</strong>.</p>
<p dir="auto">Blas is expected to begin weakening towards the end of this week. Even though, it will not make a landfall, it can still bring <strong>dangerous surf</strong> to the coast.</p>

At landfall, Agatha had sustained winds of 105 mph (168km/h), which makes it <strong>the most intense</strong> hurricane to make landfall on Mexico's Pacific coast in May on record.</p>

<p dir="auto"><strong>Agatha</strong> is currently making landfall in the southern Mexico, west of the <strong>Puerto Angel, Oaxaca</strong> with maximum sustainable winds of 105 mph (168km/h).</p>
<p dir="auto">In the following hours, hurricane will continue to produce very strong winds. Conditions will spread eastward through the night within the warning area.</p>
<p dir="auto">Tropical storm warning is in effect for <strong>Salina Cruz</strong> eastward to <strong>Boca de Pijijiapan</strong> and <strong>Lagunas de Chacahua</strong> westward to <strong>Punta Maldonado</strong>.</p>

<p dir="auto">Heavy rains will likely produce <strong>flash flooding</strong> and <strong>mudslides</strong>, residents in the southern parts are advised to stay indoors.</p>
<p dir="auto">Rick is forecast to move further inland over southern Mexico throughout Monday and then rapidly weaken. Storm should dissipate over the mountainous terrain of southern Mexico tonight or Tuesday.</p>

<p dir="auto">Hurricane had maximum winds of about 75 mph at landfall and brought hurricane-force winds and life-threatening storm surge to the area. System is expected to quickly weaken as it moves inland.</p>

<p dir="auto">Tropical storm named <strong>Zeta</strong> is moving near 18.7N 84.3W with maximum winds 110 km/h (70 mph). Zeta is forecast to approach the <strong>Yucatan Peninsula</strong> by late Monday morning local time and can possibly reach the hurricane strength.</p>
<p dir="auto"><strong>Hurricane conditions</strong> and storm surge can be expected over portions of the northern <strong>Yucatan Peninsula</strong> and tropical storm conditions over western <strong>Cuba</strong> later today.</p>

At 10:00 p.m. CDT (3:00 a.m. UTC), the center of Hurricane Lorena was located near 18.7N, 104.7W, moving toward the northwest near 12 mph (19 km/h), and the forward speed is expected to decrease a bit on Thursday. Lorena is expected to move near or over the southwestern coast of Mexico within the hurricane warning area tonight and Thursday.  Lorena is then expected to move  west-northwestward away from the west-central coast of Mexico late Thursday and Friday and approach southern Baja California Sur Friday night and Saturday. Additional strengthening is forecast during the next couple of days. Hurricane-force winds extend outward up to 15 miles (30 km) from the center, and tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 90 miles (150 km). <p dir="auto"><a href="https://www.windy.com/articles/tropical-trio-in-the-atlantic-hurricane-humberto-nears-bermuda-ts-imelda-threatens-texas-td-10-forms-in-central-atlantic-9629" rel="nofollow ugc">Same as hyperactive Atlantic</a>, the eastern Pacific basin is also experiencing higher than usual tropical activity during the peak of the hurricane season. Tropical Storms <strong>Lorena</strong> and <strong>Mario</strong> formed on Tuesday, joining Tropical Storm <strong>Kiko</strong>.</p>
<p dir="auto">While Mario and Kiko are expected to remain over the open waters, Tropical Storm <strong>Lorena</strong> is strengthening as it approaches the coast of southwestern Mexico, bringing a dangerous threat of flash flooding an mudslides.</p>

<p dir="auto">A hurricane warning was issued by local authorities for part of southwest Pacific coast of Mexico. The heaviest rainfall is expected in the states of Guerrero, Michoacan, Colima and Jalisco near the coast.</p>

<p dir="auto">A <strong>Hurricane Warning</strong> is in effect for Punta San Telmo to Cabo Corrientes. A <strong>Tropical Storm Warning</strong> is in effect for Zihuatanejo to Punta San Telmo, and Cabo Corrientes to Punta Mita.</p>

<p dir="auto">According to NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL Advisory #6, at 4:00 p.m. CDT (9:00 p.m. UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Lorena was located near 17.9N, 104.4W, max. sustained winds near 70 mph (110 km/h), moving toward the northwest near 13 mph (20 km/h).</p>
<p dir="auto"><strong>A slower northwestward motion is expected</strong> during the next couple of days. Lorena is expected to move near or over the southwestern coast of Mexico within the hurricane warning area tonight and Thursday.</p>
<p dir="auto">The center of Lorena is then expected to move west-northwestward away from the western coast of Mexico late Thursday and Friday and approach southern Baja California Friday night and Saturday. <strong>Strengthening</strong> is forecast tonight, and Lorena is forecast <strong>to become a hurricane</strong> as it nears the southwestern coast of Mexico.</p>
<p dir="auto">Additional strengthening is possible when Lorena moves west of the coast of southwestern Mexico.</p>
