@ivo how about models that are already listed under "Compare" function? In my instance NAM is more accurate than ECMWF and it would be greatly appreciated if I could set it as startup model on a browser, app and widgets rather than having to manually chose it each time. Another little suggestion would be to add a setting option where one could choose to restart on last used map scale rather than having to manually zoom in each time on startup. Thank You in advance

CMC Model Upgrades

At 12z today, 8 weather models from the Canadian Meteorological Centre will feature major upgrades. Most notably, increased horizontal resolution of analysis increment from 50 km to 37 km in all models. The grids were updated from a Gaussian grid to a Yin-Yang grid. Also in the Global Ensemble Prediction System (GEPS), the model top is raised from 2 hPa to 0.1 hPa with 81 vertical levels instead of 74. Additionally, the GEPS has an increased product resolution from 50 km to 25 km.

All the updated models today include:

-Global Deterministic Prediction system (GDPS) 6.1.0
-Regional Deterministic Prediction system (RDPS) 6.0.0

Small Error With NAM Resolution

The NAM resolution does seem to be a bit conflicting as it displays as 3km under the Basic, Meteogram and Airgram locations. But it displays as 5km when you click to Compare forecasts and in the toolbar in the lower right corner of the page. As you show there is a 5km NAM from NCEP but also a very popular 3km Nested NAM.

@meteo-GR @ivo My apologies. I am by no means an expert in data visualization. Is it still not working? If it is still not working I might have an alternative. The GDPS 25 km model from Environment Canada might be a nice addition to the site in the near future especially with winter coming up in the northern hemisphere. I have mentioned adding models from Environment Canada before, but I don't think I was clear exactly which model you should have used. http://dd.weather.gc.ca/model_gem_global/25km/grib2/lat_lon/ The link will take you to the exact model I had in mind, the global 25 km model. (GEM 25) And then if you go back to the main directory, (http://dd.weather.gc.ca/) there is plenty of other data you could use including the regional model, (model_gem_regional) and the high-resolution model, (model_hrdps). All data is in grib2 format. Hopes this helps. ---Update--- Or instead of the GDPS model from Canada, how about the global ICON model from Deutscher Wetterdienst (DWD)? Just earlier today I finally found the links to the DWD data directory. It's not only the ICON model in there. The Europe ICON model, radar, and climate info are also in the link. The only trouble is I have no idea what format the data comes in. Hopefully, you can still use it. https://opendata.dwd.de/

@ivo True that. After a lot of looking, I finally found out how you could access the Deutscher Wetterdienst weather data. You just need to create an account in the links provided. Hopefully, you will be able to use the data I provided. I've checked, it should be available in XML format.
