All the forecast parameters shown on the map (wind, temperature, rain... ) that are provided by your chosen model, are updated at same time. But all the parameters are not provided by the same model (Tidal currents, SO2... for instance). @Zvingi we provide data from various models (ECMWF, ICON, GFS,...) and they have their own metrics how to get these data. Also, we still talk about the forecast and not the real-time weather, so it could be different.

Windy does not create any forecast data but instead only visualises forecast and actual data received from various third party providers. Windy therefore has NO control over the forecast or actual data provided. Thank you for your understanding :)

Precipitation rate for 1h forecast models is provided in mm (or litres per square metres, which is the same: 1mm x 1m x 1m = 1dm^3, i.e. 1 liter in terms of distilled water).

@AmLimit Hi, you can set up an alert for maximum rain for certain hours, but you cannot really set a minimum amount of rain, since it is 'at xy amount of rain..'. There could be some changes in the future regarding alerts.

Customization is pretty hard to get right... Too much options tend to render apps and services complicated and unusable, which doesn't mean (as I believe) the Windy devs aren't open to add more options if it makes sense. Good idea to start this thread, to let the Windy devs find out, what kind of customizations are in greatest demand. I am sure they would implement anything that 10 % of users would find useful. So folks, what are your suggestions when it comes to custom options?
