Hi @readdie unfortunately, it is not possible to have NAM as preset for detail when you are in radar or satellite, but when you are in other layers (wind, ...) in NAM model, detail is opened with this model directly.

@michele-borassi Hello, when you open the app, it will always show the map and the 4-day forecast at the top. The only way to achieve this view is to access the app from the widget.

@ivo how about models that are already listed under "Compare" function? In my instance NAM is more accurate than ECMWF and it would be greatly appreciated if I could set it as startup model on a browser, app and widgets rather than having to manually chose it each time. Another little suggestion would be to add a setting option where one could choose to restart on last used map scale rather than having to manually zoom in each time on startup. Thank You in advance

@Erik-Richardson Yeah that kind of worked until they disabled it. Windy just keeps getting worse and worse.

Customization is pretty hard to get right... Too much options tend to render apps and services complicated and unusable, which doesn't mean (as I believe) the Windy devs aren't open to add more options if it makes sense. Good idea to start this thread, to let the Windy devs find out, what kind of customizations are in greatest demand. I am sure they would implement anything that 10 % of users would find useful. So folks, what are your suggestions when it comes to custom options?

@Cysiek It’s not possible to get another layer at starting the App. On website, you can start from the URL of your preferred layer e.g. from temp layer URL

@idefix37 On the app... quite possibly depends on the type of phone & OS version + available phone memory & battery saving settings. My Samsung with Android 7 couldn't do this. It could only remember the last opened layer + forecast model for a short while, maybe a few minutes after closing the app. But after a longer time, it would always open on Wind + ECMWF (which is the default settings on Windy)... However, after upgrading the OS to Android 8 Oreo, my phone seems to always remember the last opened layer + forecast model. EDIT: After some very long while (didn't get the chance to measure the exact value; let's say just after the night as I am opening the app so often during the day :)), my Android app does open on Wind + ECMWF. Forgot to mention that I'm a beta-tester (version 16.12.3 at the moment)... But my friend's regular Android app always opens on Wind + ECMWF by default.
