Concerning the 1-minutes winds they are only considered in the Saffir-Simpson scale. And there are only very specialised hurricane models that express the sustained winds over 1 minute. WMO says that 1-minute wind observations are 15% higher than the 10-minute ones. @vincerutabaga First are you talking about Wind forecast with is the averaged wind over 10 minutes or about Wind gusts (rafales in French)? Do you have a mean to measure locally the wind speed? And which model do you use in Windy? There are 7 models available in your area and it is better to compare them. Near the Porquerolles island there is the weather station of Hyères airport (at 11 km). I do not see such big discrepancy about wind that you mention. Here is the comparison with the Observation vs forecast tool that you can use yourself (select Reported wind and click to a weather station). @zulu-139 There is no bug here ! The white or magenta animated particles have nothing to do with the wind color scale. The white or magenta colors are just chosen to get a good contrast with the map. The colors of the map give the wind speed accordingly to the colors of this scale, not the animated particles which only give the direction of wind. So there is nothing to fix.
