New satellite map enhancements
-
When looking at the visible layer, at a close zoom the terrain layer shows through the satellite layer and distorts the imagery. Is there a way to adjust the transparancy?

great jobs. you are the best!

@easy_rhino Hi, unfortunately infra+ does not mean infrared+rain. It just means that there is colorisation of the cold cloud tops. It can help to observe development of storm clouds.

@TomSlavkovsky – Tom, seems there's already some confusion about
INFRA+
, even on this thread; labelling it as Cloud Top Temperature (or linking to a description of what it is) seems important to me. Clarity has always been Windy's strength.
Also I'm realising now that we probably can't change units with it because they're the only available units. I'd advocate a touch of javascript give us Celsius instead. That way, it'll also be clearer that we're looking at temperature. -
@Vandyj very good.

Thank you all for your feedback. In the final release, the units will be in Celsius.

Infra+ continental US view keeps crashing in Chrome.

@TomSlavkovsky
... and the picker will indicate temperatures even higher than 240 K (-33 C) ?In wx. radar you have not a dBZ limit (that's good!).
Why you use the 240 K limit in the picker for infra satellite images?
