Description of background colors within charts

Is there a guide to all of the chart information, especially the background colors and graphs? For instance, there is a trend graph behind the weather pictograms in the "hours" section, it tends to flow up and down, but I can't correlate it to anything.

This curve just shows the Air Temperature variation. It varies according to the temperature below.
