Hi @passiflorum, there is a option to calculate your route by boat or plane, please see the screenshot below -

When using theses options with a route, on the route line there is a white dot representing your position along the route for a specific time. It would be helpful if that dot could be a wind pointer instead of the dot. In addition if that pointer could be small, medium, large. It would be helpful for vision challenged people or conditions. For the boat option the tides would be helpful at the bottom. Love this app!

I would like the radar to be able to differentiate between rain and snow to see where the rain/snow line is. Many other app radars can do this and am surprised this is not an included feature.

As far as I know, it is because all radars can't do that.
But it seems Windy is willing to add this feature as said here.

Just some info for fun:

Single-polarization is more of a post-processing thing using external data like temperature profiles in order to determine precip-type.

• single-pol sends out just horizontal pulses

Dual-polarization can determine size and shape of precipitation so it can likely see what exactly is falling much easier in order to determine precip-type.

• dual-pol sends out both horizontal and vertical pulses

@idefix37 is right, not all radars are dual-pol. So I can imagine including precip-type data being a challenge for Windy developers to implement globally.
That being said, I hope Windy adds this - along with velocity data
