      Hi folks,

      as VFR flying the alps pretty frequent a simple visualization/prediction of Foehn conditions might be useful in windy.com apps.
      A common model to predict is based on calculating the pressure difference between Bolzano and Innsbruck. (See http://www.wetteralarm.at/de/wetter/foehndiagramme/foehn-in-den-alpen.html).

        @tgebhard Hi, to get accurate (ie. meaningful) predictions of these pressure gradients (Foehn, Bise, Bora, Mistral etc.), you would rather use MOS (model output statistical) products. As I understand this is not a feature included by data source providers supporting current Windy apps (e.g. GFS, ECWMF, MeteoFrance, etc.) and would be quite complex to add, because you would need to run dataassimilation models at these selected surface observation sites.
