My name is Tammy, I am a Production Manager working at Atlantic Productions, in London - http://atlanticproductions.tv/.
We are working with the Weddell Sea Expedition 2019 (https://weddellseaexpedition.org/the-expedition/) on a documentary.
We filmed a sequence with the Meteorologist who makes use of your website Windy.com to keep track and check whether any massive depressions come in for the expedition and we would like your permission to use the images, from your website that were taken at the time of filming, in our documentary?
Please do let me know if there is someone else we need to get in touch with about this, as we are quite keen to move forward.

I am a 3rd year geography student at the University of Victoria in British Columbia, Canada. I am currently working on a project for my cartography class making a thematic map showing the correlation between surf spots and shark attacks in Australia. I was planning on using Windy’s data on surf spot to create shapefiles and point locations. I was wondering if there was any way to access this data in a more compatible format with arcgis or excel and if it could potentially be opened up as open source. Data or shapefiles would be greatly appreciated to reduce my workload. If this is possible, please let me know. Anything helps.

Hi Ivo,
we are a production company doing documentary TV series. One of our new projects is about weather - the disasters, weather changes etc. If I undesrtand correctly we can use Windy animations and graphics for free and all we have to do is to mention Windy in the credits?

Hi, Can you confirm that UN News services (United Nations https://news.un.org/en/) can use a screen grab from windy?
We are slightly confused by the separate copyright requirement for OpenStreetMap...which appears in the link in the bottom right hand of the screen.

I'm working on an open source, non-profit mobile application that aggregates information about the local kite spots. One of the functionalities is a quick access to the spots' weather forecast. I'd like to provide the Windy weather forecast as one of the options. User can tap a button with a Windy logo, a web view will open and the Windy.com website will be displayed. Is it ok?

Hello, you don't need an further permission as long as Windy logo will be present together with pictures. Will your book be available for public? :)
