Hello, my name is Scott Shellhorse and I am a video producer for a local government. We are interested or have questions about two things.

First, we are wanting to embed the map onto our website. I looked at the Terms of Service and that seems like something we should be able to do. Is there any cost involved if we do that?

The second one is a little more complicated. We also run a broadcast TV channel and are wanting to broadcast the radar through the channel. Can we do this? Would there be a cost involved? We know how we can do it on the technical side but wanted to confirm the legal aspect of doing it.

Hello @sshellhorse, you can use Windy this way as long as our logo is visible and the visualizations aren't modified.

@petra-pik Thank you. We would basically be grabbing the web browser so it would definitely have the logo.

Hi, I am rebuilding the website for a club of boat owners of a little town in Italy. I love your maps and animation and I would like to know if I can embed it in this website using https://embed.windy.com/, of course you will be cited and your logo will be visible. Thank you!

                  Hello, Ivo.
We are a Japanese publisher, TOTO Publishing.
Thank you for providing excellent service.
We are now making a collection of works by a Japanese architect unit called SUEP.
In that book, I would like to publish an image captured from Windy.
I saw the terms of use. If we reprint it, the total number of copies may exceed 5,000, and in that case, I would like to ask if you can get permission to use it.
If necessary, please contact us by email below.
                  takuo.kurimura@jp.toto.com

                  thank you.

                      Hi,

I understand modification is not allowed when using Windy visualisations. I wonder if drawing frontal systems, circling and highlighting low/high pressures on the wind map is allowed or not.

                      Thanks.

                      Chris

@ngkriz Hello, as long as the logo "Windy.com" is visible, drawing fronts is allowed.

                            To Whom It May Concern,

I am the Deputy Chief Anchor of the i-CABLE News Limited which is a large-scale TV News broadcasting and media company in Hong Kong.

Our TV station will expand its free to air TV channel that targets millions of people in Hong Kong in April. We plan to have a new weather report program which includes different weather elements such as the meteorological chart, the hyetograph and the tropical cyclone track forecast. We find that your website i.e. windy.com matches with our plan and therefore, would like to know the following issues:
                            • If our company subscribes the premium version, could we get your permission to use all weather elements, charts, graphics and modify the countries’ names on the map on windy.com which helps enrich the weather report?
                            • Are there any restrictions or regulations to use the visualization on our TV channel, webpage and News APP?

Your valuable advice and authorization for us to use your contents will greatly enhance weather information to our viewers.

                            Yours faithfully,
                            Yoyo Li Man Yan

                                Hello,

My company (i-Cable News Limited) from Hong Kong is planning to start a weather program in April. I am just wondering whether we can get your permission to use the visualization and all the weather elements from windy.com according to the use of terms.

                                Thank you.
