How does the elevation slider work when I live at altitude?
-
Sorry for what I'm sure is a basic question, but I searched and couldn't find an answer.
I'm a paraglider living at 5,500' and like to look at wind from surface up to FL140. The altitude slider has options from the "surface", through various stops up to 6,500, then FL100 and FL140.
What is being displayed at "surface" and up to the actual surface altitude of 5,500? The data does actually change in that range, though not much. Should "surface" and 5,500 show the same data?
What are the odds we could get a forecast for 8,000 and FL120?
Thanks everyone!
