      Much of Europe will experience an above average temperatures as we can see the picture below.

      Bear in mind that:

      • Blue areas mean colder than normal
      • White areas mean about around average temperatures
      • Red / Orange areas mean warmer than normal

      photo:Pivotal Weather;desc:850hPa Temperature anomaly;

      Therefore, a high pressure system will set over most of Europe, bringing milder mass air.

      It seems that January is going to say to us hello that way, up to 4-10 degrees above average at about 1500 metres over the sea level.

      Something might change drastically from February 5th, even though there are still lots of uncertainties

          @Gkikas-LGPZ hello 👋🏻. Honestly, in Italy, where I live, these days should be the coldest one of the year, but there is smell of Spring, instead 😅

            A cold outbreak will affect central Europe, the Balkans and the Mediterranean next week.

              @Gkikas-LGPZ Exactly! As I wrote earlier in the article, a significant cold wave might reach lower altitudes, including Italy too. I’ve just had a look at the last GFS update, and it seems that some snowfall might fall over Apulia, where I live. It would be fantastic 😅👍🏻. Well, now we’ve got to wait, run by run, before making a weather forecast 🤞

                This trough of cold air was expected few days ago more West. With a promise of snow. But slowly, day after day, run after run, the wave has drifted to the East. And you get it !

                  Live from South Apulia, along the Ionian coast. That is the result of a high pressure: it seems spring, unbelievable
