I was also looking in settings for the lightning sounds. I used to have sound for lightning and loved it, for the most part. I’m assuming in an update it was removed. Please bring it back with the on/off toggle feature. Even if you don’t, I will still love the app.

@Watergirl Hi, the lightning sound and vibration is still there, just check the bottom menu in the app.

@korina I have the same issue, as also mentioned in another Windy community thread. The lightning sound (and haptics) occasionally does not work. it happens both in browser (chrome on Win10) and Android (12 pixel 6). On some rare occasions it does work but frequently does not with the sound slider on browser sound on and phone media and notification sounds on

@steeltoad Hello, lightnings sound and vibration currently does not work, we will fix this with upcoming release.

@korina Any guidance on when the sounds and haptic feedback will be restored to the Android app? It's been over a month since your last posting and no app updates since April 14th according to my Google Play store app. Please advise, thank you.

@twall007 Hello, the lightnings strikes and sounds will be added back in the upcoming app update 36. It should be released within a few weeks.

How do you turn off sounds in the iPad app? I can’t figure it out.

@demyers Hello, lightning sounds cannot be turned off.

@Korina Would there be any chance in providing that option? I just downloaded the app on both my iPhone & Samsung tablet and have been trying to figure how to turn the sound off. Outside of that, I am loving the app so far

@Dan-Gonzalez Hello, you can turn the sound off on the iPhone, the option is only missing on iPad. But we plan to add it.
