Map Zoom Sensitivity

I use a Mac workstation - iMac. I love the service. However, it is so frustrating to use. The slightest movement of my mouse causes excessive zooming in and out. Trying to position the map where I want to is impossible. As soon as I let go of the left click, more zooming. I would use this product more if it were easier to manipulate.
