6 days temperature forecast for the Balkans is of interest
because it involves large differences between the global models (GFS, ECMWF).
For 24 Mar (00Z) at 850 hPa, GFS forecasts +4C in Athens, Greece
while ECMWF says the temp. will fall down to -8C !!!
We’ll have to wait for the next models runs for clarification.
It will be interesting to see how it plays out .

... if ECMWF's forecast comes true,
dangerous frost conditions expected for blossoming flowers and trees.

          There is a remarkable change.
Now ECMWF is in agreement with GFS.

This is a first sign that puts GFS(FV3) on an equal footing with ECMWF.
