When viewing the clouds layer, there is absolutely no information anywhere that shows what the colors on the map represents. I have no idea what I'm looking at, and find it kind of insane that a map doesn't have something as basic as a legend. I know I'm not the only person to have this thought, please provide information as to what we are looking at when we view the clouds layer.

The issue of displaying mm instead of % in the color scale customization that I had noticed in 2020 has clearly been fixed. It is what @<bdi>korina</bdi> was referring to.

I seem to be having the same problem way down here in 2025.

However, my post was made as a suggestion for the devs to implement a change in the website (I use the website not the app, I imagine they are identical). I also found that thread after some googling and searching through the forum, but think the app would be a lot better if one didn't have to search around to answer a question that shouldn't have to be asked :)

In addition, concerning the colors, the Cloud layer is in fact a mix of cloud + rain.
Rain is shown by the small dots which correspond to the amount of rain during 3 hours according to the color scale in right low corner of your screen. This scale is in mm but you can choose inches.
In the weather picker, 21.4mm is rain amount and 100% the cloud cover.

Then the only possibility to get the cloud cover scale is to go to Settings -> Customize color scale -> Select overlay -> Clouds

Note there is a mistake. The units for clouds are not mm but % as shown in the weather picker.

Hope it helps.
