After Easter, cold air is to cross eastern Europe

It was really a mild Easter for most of us, though still in lockdown due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

We could enjoy plenty of sunny spells with high temperatures, even over 20 degrees, thank to a wide area of high pressure that makes the atmosphere stable and pushing the values above average.

However, a quick worsening is forecasted during the next 48-72 hours.
An area of high pressure will be able to set between Ireland and the United Kingdom Since it spins in clockwise, cold air, coming from Scandinavian, will start to sly down along its eastern side, bringing unsettled weather on the way.

Therefore, a cold front is ready to cross the eastern Europe on Easter Monday, bringing a sensible drop in temperatures too.

Moreover, it will be reaching the Balkans and Italy by Tuesday, making weather get worse quickly, especially along the Adriatic regions, where showers and thunderstorms are expected, followed by strong northern winds.

The worsening is going to last just a few days, because another high-pressure bridge might come back to be the key player over most of our Continent, giving us further sunny and mild days.,temp,2020-04-13-21,45.675,10.767,4,i:pressure,internal
