As a windsurfer and weather addict I use the app daily. I like the personal interaction between the users and the developers. I will take premium because the whole thing seems the right thing to do. Thanks a lot for the wonderful windsurf sessions Windy gave me.

@Kopansky Kvuli zachovani anonymity byly prispevky ANONYMNI, tj my je musime parovat rucne. To je dost pracne a proto je tam limit 50 EUR. A musime doufat ze ty zadosti budou prichazet pomalu, abychom to zvladli.

@Kopansky Vas prispevek se vztahoval k provozu v roce 2019. Vybrali jsme zhruba polovinu nasich nakladu. V roce 2020 mame naklady vyssi. Pokud mate Windy radi predpadte si Windy Premium.

@Kopansky Neni pravda, ze jsme tady diky prispevovatelum. Bohuzel v roce 2019 jsme vybrali pouze POLOVINU nasich nakladu. Je to sice velika pomoc, ale Windy je zde kvuli investorovi, ktery jeho provoz dlouhodobe dotuje.

This COVID-19 situation is indeed extremely serious. I have friends who work in health services and it is heart breaking to see so many folk dying across the world. Even those who don't die, many of them will suffer from permanent damage.
It's not my death that overly frightens me, it's the incredible suffering of others in poorer and vulnerable countries that frightens me. I am more than willing to lose work and indeed, work from home - to help deal with this awful virus.
Thanks again, for this wonderful app. In more than three decades of weather forecasting, I have never seen anything like it.

I'm a pilot of a beat up old single engine fixed wing Aeronca 11ac -- built in 1946, rebuilt by me 10 years ago after reposing in boxes for 35 years. Folks get a real kick when I start it by hand. Each time I run the risk of removing an arm, or worse. But I love doing it.
Another thrill for any unfortunate passengers is when I demonstrate the aircraft's incredible resistance to stall. I've had her down to 31 kts ias, practically walking speed, but I digress...It can be a lot of fun hanging things out there alright.
I also don't plan on listening to my better angels anytime soon.This app makes it possible to fly while others have to sit at home, unfortunately relying on our national weather service that has trouble predicting more than 12 hours out. Heck, they get the past weather wrong! Windy helps me find calm holes in the sky, a must for an airframe that's more like an underpowered kite with severe adverse yaw characteristics. I will always be extremely grateful for that.
