Credit card details hacked?
-
Hi folks,
Something you may want to look into.
I recently entered my credit card details to take out a subscription. A couple of days later my bank closed the card after a transaction of $1 was attempted on the account.
Was this part of a regular payment process, or has someone able to get my details from your payment service?
Maybe including a Paypal payment method would be an idea.
We love Windy here in Tasmania.
Cheers,

@stripeydog Hello, there is no way your card got hacked, because of our services.
Where did you try to purchase, on desktop or App/Google store? You should check if you did not sign up to some other service.

Also a $1 type charge is sometimes used as a 'pre-authorisation' by some companies if it is a new card, or if you are a new user to the payment service.
What company actually attempted to charge $1? Check with them if they use this system.

@Korina I setup the subscription through the desktop application site.

@stripeydog usually when you are linkin your card to some official shops, google is making
test
payment with 1 dollar. They are taking it and giving you back in that very moment. You should ask a bank about certain circumstances
