Can u please tell me how often is the Aerial layer under Outdoor maps updated? I must say the aerial maps are much higher quality that Google's. Well done Windy.
So sorry for placing this thread here instead of FAQs. For some reason I cant post topics there. You can move this thread to that part if u think is appropriate.

What do you mean with « Aerial layer under Outdoor maps».
Are they the weather forecast layers like Wind, Rain, Cloud...?Click on the clock to know when they are updated, it depends on the chosen weather model.

You mean the live satellite images are updated every minute?
Yes, vsience I ask exactly about that.

If it is about weather satellite products (i.e. no base maps): they are provided by offices which generate them every 5, 10, or 15 minutes generally (depending on the satellite and on the data processing flow).
E.g. Himawari/GOES satellite products could be only synchronized at HH:00 and HH:30 with METOP satellite products: Himawari/GOES images come every 10 minutes, while METEOSAT images every 15 minutes. -
@vsinceac That's fantastic, compared to the old Google maps. This is a great feature, so well done to Windy and the other providers. Pyongyang is much clearer on Windy than on Google Maps :D Plus as u say, the images are more often updated :)

@vsinceac How about the satellite base maps? Do u have any info how often are they updated?

As base maps are provided by mapy.cz, I guess only Windy developers could answer this question...
