      Hi there,
      I'm new here. Is it possible, to set the satellite mode instead of the wind mode as the mode, the surface appears after opening the app from the widget?

        Nope, Wind/ECMWF should remain default (see reasons in this related post).
        Otherwise, Windy would be rather "satellite dot com" :o))).
