There is a number 1 on my face icon and I cannot find out why!

Why is there a number "1" on my face icon? There is no indication of a reason anywhere that I can see. Why is there no indication in the menu when I click the face icon?

It is because you have got one alert. Clicking your "face icon", check your favorites list (I suppose you have set alerts?) -
OK, but a second "1" is missing from "my alerts":
The user does not know which of the four lines to click. -
When you get an alert notification with 1,2,3...in the red dot this means you have got 1,2,3... alerts.
So click on My alerts to know more about it.
It’s quite obvious that the notification is not for « Change my picture », « Change password » or « Log out » -
@idefix37 The red "1" should also be repeated a second time, attached to one of the four lines below in the box. Sure it is obvious to you, but for me, random guessing on what to click on is dangerous.

@jidanni Hi, the red number means how many alerts of yours are actually active. If you go to your Favorites, you can clearly see, which one of them are active, since they are grey.

@Korina Yes, but that requires extra knowledge (via each user asking on e.g., this board), as there is a disconnection in the path the user needs to follow from the first red "1" to the next click he needs to make to see what the red "1" is all about. That is because the second red "1" is missing from the four line menu.
