-
自从最近几天前,windy上线了“real-time satellite animation, maps are much more detailed and sharper, then in previous version.”,查看卫星云图时,海面颜色信息就消失了!
You could try Main Menu / Settings / Smooth Satellite Animation (On/Off), as explained in the original post.

@vsinceac 我试过 "Smooth Satellite Animation (On/Off)” 但是都没用!
@tommysam Hi, could you please enclose some screenshot of the alleged issue? Thank you.

@tommysam It's doesn't make sense to me. Weather satellite isn't for business purpose, like digital global which google map use.
-
He means windy doesn't show the color of coastline. I capture the screenshot of FY-4A satellite: http://rsapp.nsmc.org.cn/geofy/

@tomacat
NO, @tommysam means that the satellite layer does not show the true color of the sea.
This is what he says (according to Google translation):
"the color of the sea on the east side of Shanghai is always the same deep blue as the Pacific Ocean, which is wrong!
In the past, windy's satellite cloud images showed that the water here is yellowish! In reality, it is also yellow!
For example, in reality, the Mississippi River in the United States enters the estuary, and the Amazon River in Brazil enters the estuary. The color of the seawater is yellowish. In the past, the windy software also showed yellowish, and now the windy software shows the same dark blue as the Atlantic! Windy now displays the wrong color! "
So It's not a question of coastline color.
What I would reply to him is that the colors of this satellite layer are optimized to show clouds, not the sea. However on land colors are better matching the reality... -
