Default settings

Hi @ting1990, the default layer can be set in the Menu > Settings > Startup layer and location.
Right now, there are few layers that can be set as default, and Dew point temperature isn't one of them. -
Another premium user here also wanting to pick my chosen default forecast model.....Meteoblue is way more accurate for me....And Why cant I have it default to 1 hour forecasts??? thats the main reason I upgraded in the first place.... extremely annoying to have to click and change forecast model and period every time...

As said above, this thread could help (as a workaround, not as a solution).
-
@salaud Hi, we appreciate your feedback, it will be considered for the future releases.

Hi. I'm also a premium person and want to change the default forecast model. The European one isn't even close to correct I'm the Seattle area. It is surprise that with an app like windy, that has an amazing amount of settings, one can't change the default forecast model. It's very surprising. It makes me think that perhaps the ECMWF might have a financial stake in windy. Does it?
Thanks for listening.

@reagandisco Hello, we are thinking about adding this option in the future, thank you for your feedback.

@korina Not a Premium user but I have been a user since the ‘early days’ and have asked for this before. I concur that the other models are better depending on location and in general, I’m afraid (I’m a European too!), the GFS model, though less precise, is more accurate.The other ‘setting’ which does not appear to be a setting are the pressure isolines, which revert to ‘off’ every time I leave the website, a real pain. But keep up the good work, I love Windy!

@afurley
If you find GFS more accurate, which is not what people are generally thinking, you can bookmark

Hello. Still can't set a default forecast model. Is this feature coming? ACCESS just got added and is so accurate, but I have to always remember to switch to it.
-
@danbuccheri
In Start up layer, try Use last overlay. It should work to get ACCESS as default model -
@kaipeterg I completely agree and I feel like it would be so nice if, at the very least, our preferred weather model would save!!
-
@verebat Hello, you can save your preferred model by going to Settings -> Start-up layer -> Choose last overlay. This will save the current selected layer as your default.

I just discovered this app and really like it. But the default forecast model is off by 7 C in my region , northern Italy. The Meteoblue is much more accurate here. But without being able to change the default forecast, this app is not usable here.
-
@mike-jetter Hello, as mentioned above, you can save your preferred model by going to Settings -> Start-up layer -> Choose last overlay. This will save the current selected layer as your default. However Meteoblue is only available for the detailed forecast. This model cannot be saved.

@korina
On my Android App I cannot find this default layer setting. Is this really a part in the settings section? -
@windywolle Hello, it is located in settings - > Start-up layer and location.
