Hashmarks in radar

I started using Windy.com yesterday. Today the radar map is different - many of the radar echoes have cross-hatching. Does this mean something? I haven't found a legend thus far and prefer the radar without cross-hatching. Thank you!

mean radar data are a little old.

Thanks for helping. This image shows some areas with cross-hatch while the lower-left echoes do not.
