Windy proposes in one application a lot data from different models. Windy didn’t develop its own model.
When you check the weather forecast, it is very important to use the compare tool proposed by Windy. This will allow you to compare the weather forecast coming from all the different models proposed by Windy for your location. You will be able to see the consistency of the models or on the contrary that sometimes, one model will forecast rain and the other sun. Interesting is to try to understand why one model proposes rain when the other proposes sun. There are always reasons behind each scenario !

Finally, some situations are much more complicated to predict than others as thunderstorms because they are linked to local elements so small scale (10-20km)
