In Weather Radar mode, I get a blue location dot with a constant "pinging" animation on it. This dot is NEVER near my actual location when using the web interface, regardless of how the Startup Location or browser location data are set.

Is there a way to just turn it off? It's annoyingly distracting away from my Favorites which have the actual locations I'm interested in.

      Thanks!

Hello @Zoot, it is not possible to turn it off but thank you for the suggestion, we'll consider it in the future.

Maybe you have set your startup location to be determined by the IP address?

@petra-pik I have the same issue. This is annoying. I don't know why they can't get this location issue resolved. It should always point to whatever city I specify.

Obviously, there is no way to set this annoying blue dot to my street address. I guess I am just glad that it is on the same side of town that I am in.

Hi @JDMyatt, what device do you use, does this device have a GPS, or is your localization based on your IP?

My blue dot is 300 km off.

Showing a location that's totally and grossly wrong makes absolutely no sense. Just offer an option to turn that off. It's the most logical thing to do when you, obviously, can't fix the damn thing.

@petra-pik Changing to "IP Address" makes no difference. This problem with the wayward blue dot is new. Never had this problem before.

@mdcclxv @sdp1114 Can you let us know what device do you exactly use? According to turning it off, there are no plans for implementation at the moment. However, we can consider this with colleagues.

@Zoot I live in Welch, OK in two days the blue dot has been in two different locations but not my location. I tried make it go to my start local but nothing working. Yes it is very annoying.

@Ondřej-Šutera I'm using a laptop (chrome browser) and the incorrect position of the pulsing dot just started.

@sdp1114 Is your browser allowed to use your location and does Windy have this permission? It can happen that the user blocked this in the past and then public IP address from user set the location hundreds of kms away.
