    Beaufort scale means nothing for gusts

      Hi,

      Windy can display the wind with the beaufort scale, which is nice. However, it also display the wind gusts in beaufort, which made no sense : the beaufort scale is only for the mean wind.

      To be more correct, the gusts should be display in knots instead, as the official weather service do.

        You are right, gusts in Beaufort degrees is a non-sense. Reason why I prefer to display locally the wind speed in knots.
        As I have calibrated the color scale according to the Beaufort scale, then I get both units.

          Agree and I do the same as @idefix37, I just use km/h which is what I prefer
